Boreham Wood carry their unbeaten run to Scunthorpe United for a Wednesday night National League fixture at the Attis Arena. The Wood sit first in the table with 17 points from seven games, one point clear of Harrogate Town.
Their recent form is the foundation of that lead. Luke Garratt's side are unbeaten in their last five league matches, winning four and drawing one. That sequence includes a 1-1 draw at Eastleigh last weekend, where Chris O'Connell scored a 67th-minute equaliser, and a 2-1 win over Carlisle United at Meadow Park.
Scunthorpe present a different challenge, having won their last two matches against Sutton United and Nottingham Forest's under-21 side. The Iron's form has been mixed, however, with defeats to Harrogate and Carlisle in the same period.
Boreham Wood's squad is expected to be similar to the one that started against Carlisle, with Gunter in goal behind a back line of Clarke, O'Connell, Bush and Bainbridge. The midfield trio of Booty, White and Allarakhia will look to supply forwards Brunt, Cashman and Rush.
This match is the first of a busy period for the Wood, with fixtures coming thick and fast. Fans can check the upcoming schedule on the club's fixtures page. A positive result in Lincolnshire would maintain their position at the summit ahead of the weekend.
