Boreham Wood host third-placed Altrincham at Meadow Park this weekend with their chairman providing a major update on the club's long-awaited South Stand development. The league leaders, who have won four of their last five matches, are seven points clear at the summit of the National League with 29 points from 11 games.

Chairman Danny confirmed that construction on the £4 million-plus project has started in earnest, with agreements from key partners like BW PASE, Arsenal, and the Football Foundation already signed off. Final sign-offs from Elstree and Boreham Wood Town Council and Hertsmere Borough Council are still pending, but the chairman stated the build must remain on schedule and on budget for a planned completion before the start of next season. "I feel I have every right to feel very proud of what they’re doing on our behalf," Danny said, referencing the project stakeholders. He has committed his own personal investment and will apply skills from his time in the British film industry to scrutinise costs, stressing the importance of avoiding historic or unsustainable debt for the club.

On the pitch, manager Luke Garrard's side are in formidable form, having scored 13 goals in their last five outings. Their most recent result was a 3-1 home victory over Kidderminster Harriers, with goals from J. Bird and B. Whitfield. The squad has also been bolstered by the arrival of long-time target Will Wright, who brings valuable EFL experience.

Visitors Altrincham pose a significant threat, sitting fourth in the table and aiming to end Boreham Wood's unbeaten home run as they chase their own promotion ambitions. Boreham Wood will look to extend their winning run when they face Altrincham at Meadow Park on Saturday, 3 October.
